At Foster the Family, we provide immediate, practical support and ongoing, holistic care to families welcoming vulnerable children through foster, adoption, and kinship care. We imagine a system where the families welcoming children are supported by the church and community surrounding them, and where homes become places of belonging and healing for vulnerable children.
We're excited to serve multiple widow(er)s across eight different projects in collaboration with Both Hands, a nonprofit that helps adoptive families and volunteer groups organize service projects for widows while raising funds for adoptions and orphan causes. We'll be raising funds through their organization for our operations so we can serve even more families and children.
**All donations made to this project will be matched up to $50,000!**
Serving Multiple Widow(er)s
We'll be helping 8 widow(er)s with various home improvement projects throughout the month of May in celebration of Foster Care Awareness Month. One of the widowers we'll be serving is Mr. Danny, a passionate advocate for adoption. He and his late wife, who passed in 2017, adopted their son, Cameron, from Uganda in 2011.
A Different Kind of Fundraiser
Several teams of volunteers are completing service projects of fixing up widow(er)'s homes across the country in the month of May. Our teams are raising sponsorship for the days of service. The funds raised will help us continue serving foster and adoptive families and the incredible children in their care. Will you sponsor us?
