We began talking about adoption in the very beginning months of our relationship. We realized quickly that it was something that God had put on each of our hearts, and we both felt that it was a non-negotiable for our lives. Since then, we’ve prayed and planned and waited for God’s timing and direction. We finalized our homestudy this June and are currently waiting to be chosen by a birth mother. We pray that our home will provide an abundance of love, relationships, fun, laughter, truth, comfort, security, and hope for our baby.
A Waiting Child
We are working with an adoption agency in Houston, called New Life Adoptions. New Life is a ministry to the birth mother - they work to offer her choice, support, love, and hope during and after her pregnancy. They continue to support birth mothers throughout their lives, long after their babies are born. We are so thankful for the work that New Life is doing in supporting women, training pregnancy centers, and equipping adoptive families to step in when needed. We are preparing for an open adoption, and hope for the opportunity to build relationship with and love our baby’s birth family.
Mrs. Linda
Mrs. Linda is a Beaumont resident, and has been a partner of our faith family, Beaumont’s First Baptist Church, for 59 years. She and her husband, Leon, loved serving the church together. Leon passed away this year, after 4 years in a nursing home. Today, her home is in need of some tender loving care and we feel honored to be able to bless her through this service project. We are excited to bless a widow in our community in a big way!
A Different Kind of Fundraiser
A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help an orphan to become adopted into a forever family. Will you sponsor us?
