Ryan & Abby Abbott

Ryan & Abby Abbott

Fairborn, OH

Meet Ryan and Abby Abbott. When Ryan and Abby got married, they both wanted children, but adoption was not on Ryan's heart. Ryan was in the military, and they lived in South Korea for 3 years and had their first child there. Their second child was born a month before Ryan deployed to Afghanistan, after moving back to the U.S. While Ryan was gone for that year, Abby began praying that God would soften Ryan’s heart towards adoption. When Ryan came home they discussed adoption again, and this time Ryan was open to the idea! They decided to wait a little while longer, since Abby was pregnant with their third child. They left the military, moved to Ohio, and welcomed a fourth child. After seeking the Lord’s will, Abby and Ryan wanted to start pursuing an international adoption. The whole family is very excited about welcoming a fifth child into their home and hearts!

Uziah

Orphan China

We have accepted the referral of a 17 month old baby boy from China! We have been working towards our adoption in Burundi for a year now. As we were waiting on a referral of a child, we felt the Lord drawing us toward adopting a child with a special need. We didn't feel peace between us about changing countries. But then we saw a sweet baby boy on our agency's Waiting Child list. After much prayerful consideration, we decided to accept the referral of Uziah and move forward with his adoption!

Ms. Teresa

Widow Huber Heights, OH

Teresa met her husband, Tim, when she was in college. They were married 34 years, and had two children, Shannon and Bryon. In 2008, Tim had a persistent cough. He went to the doctor and after some testing, they found out he had kidney cancer that was already at stage 4. Tim passed away 7 months later. Their church was a very huge support during Tim's illness and passing and continues to support Teresa in many ways.
