Michael & Allison Barker

Louisville, KY

We had both desired to adopt when we were younger, but we weren’t sure about timing. Shortly after our 2nd son was born, the Lord again opened our hearts to adoption through the testimony of another family. We love that we get to point all of our children to the gospel and to our loving Heavenly Father who has made us his own also through adoption by the sacrifice of his son Jesus. After each addition to the family, we’ve waited on him, and he has always led us to our next child.

Little Sister

Orphan India

We are now in the process of adopting a precious daughter from India. We have done loads of paperwork, waited, and prayed. Our most recent update is that we’ve been matched with a little girl who just turned 1 year old. Her big brothers and sister are beside themselves with excitement and anticipation! We celebrated with Indian food and much thankfulness for the Lord’s faithfulness. We now need to finish up our fundraising. We are praying that this will be the last big fundraiser we will need.

Ms. Susan & Ms. Sharene

Widows Louisville, KY

Susan and Sharene are both widows and neighbors in Jeffersontown (a suburb of Louisville, KY). Ms. Sharene’s husband passed away 27 years ago when their son was only a year old. Ms. Susan’s husband died 17 years ago. We are excited to serve them both in a big way!

Our Both Hands Project

Project

A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help an orphan to become adopted into a forever family. We have postponed our service day for the health of our team and the widows we'll be serving. You can still donate, and we hope to serve these wonderful widows this summer!

Help bring Little Sister home!
