Herschel & Lee French

Brentwood, TN

We're Herschel & Lee French. We always had a heart to adopt, we just didn't know how soon it would be! In our first year of marriage, we tried to conceive on our own, but discovered that it would be difficult for us to conceive naturally. While this was a difficult season in our lives, we also found great joy in our original desire to adopt. Adoption was never plan B for us.. it just came sooner in Plan A than we had originally thought! Because of the generosity of our incredible "village" we adopted our first child, Sellers, in December of 2016. He is our deepest pride and our greatest joy. We cant wait to welcome another precious child into our little nest (and make Sellers a big brother!)

A Waiting Child

Orphan USA

Because we feel a strong conviction towards adoption, we knew right after Sellers was born that we wanted to continue to grow our family in this way. We began our second journey to adopt in May of 2017. We are a home study ready family and are currently waiting to reach our financial goal before we activate and show our profile to potential birth families.

Ms. Teri

Widow Nashville, TN

We have the wonderful opportunity to work with Ms. Teri Wilhelm, a local widow who lives in the Crieve Hall area of Nashville. Teri lost her husband, Fred, in 2012 after and short and difficult battle with Pancreatic Cancer. She and Fred met later in life and were married for 15 years. Teri has no living family and relies heavily on the kindness and friendship of her neighbors.

Our Both Hands Project

Project May 18, 2019

A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help an orphan to become adopted into a forever family. Together we will help her clean her gutters, repair drainage issues in her roof, organize storage containers, and help clean up her front and back yard. Will you sponsor us?
