Gordon & Gretchen Gertiser

Alexandria, VA

Gordon and Gretchen have always felt that adoption would be part of the design for their family. Their hearts have always been sensitive for expectant mothers, and the difficult circumstances that many women find themselves in. They have two biological sons, and have waited for the day when they would be able to step forward to support a mother who wanted to give her child life, but for whatever reason didn’t feel able or the desire to parent.

Child Waiting for a Family

Orphan USA

They are working with Cradled in Grace, an adoption consultant, to adopt an infant from the USA. They are currently waiting to be matched with an expectant mother, and are open to either gender and any race. They are excited to see the family the Lord will weave together through adoption. They pray regularly for the expectant mother and child that they will be matched with; and pray that the relationships within the whole triad will become strong and connected.

Ms. Kim

Widow Alexandria, VA

Ms. Kim lost her husband, Bill, in 2017 after only three months of being diagnosed with cancer. They were married for 28 years and she still lives in the home they purchased in 2000. It has been difficult for her to maintain her yard and the outside of the home and it is in need of some tender loving care and attention. She works full-time with the Federal Government and is excited to have some much-needed work done!
