Joshua & Erin McCain

Alabaster, AL

In the fall of 2016, we seemed to hear a lot about the plight of orphans and those in slavery around the world. We had discussed adoption many times before, and so at the end of the day, this was what we felt was the calling on our hearts. Every child deserves a home and parents. We have all been called as adopted children of God, so how better to display His love and sacrifice for us than by doing the same? We have 2 biological daughters: August (6) and Paisley (3). We have 1 biological son: Colt (turning 2 April 26th). We are all excited to bring home another son from India: Jude (8 months).

Give to Both Hands

Jude

Orphan India

We talked with friends who have adopted and with our pastor and his wife, who have adopted internationally. We looked at all the places we met the requirements to adopt from. The greatest need and the simplest requirements were in India. Since then, we have grown to so love the Indian people and their culture. We have a heart for serving them and seeing them come to know Jesus. We cannot wait to hold our little guy, with whom we have just matched (2/23/2018). He is 8 months old and lives in Mumbai.

Ms. Nell

Widow Alabaster, AL

Ms. Nell is the widow our team will be serving. Nell lost her husband 6 years ago and now she is raising her three teenage granddaughters, who live with her. Today, her home is in need of some tender loving care and we feel honored to be able to bless her through this Both Hands project.

Our Both Hands Project

Project April 28, 2018
