Michael & Marissa McElroy

El Paso, TX

We are Michael and Marissa McElroy. We have had a blissful five years of marriage filled with love, growth and new chapters. Unfortunately a year into our marriage was when the struggle to have kids began. After 4 artificial inseminations and 4 embryo treatments, we came to the realization that having children of our own was not an option. However, despite this knowledge, we know that we were meant to be parents. Our faith in Christ help us understand that even though we cannot have biological children, adopting a child is the plan that God has for our family. We will have the opportunity to help a birth mother by providing a child with all the tools they will need to be successful.

A Waiting Child

Orphan USA

We, as of yet, have not been matched. We are seeking a newborn through domestic adoption. Through our journey to have a child we have spent over $60,000 on medical expenses including IUI treatments, 4 laparoscopy surgeries, IVF treatments, travel to Tucson for hotel, food and gas, and to see our fertility doctor. We now have to come up with anywhere from $25,000-$45,000 for adoption expenses.

Ms. Patricia

Widow El Paso, TX

Ms. Patricia has been a widow since 2012, since the untimely passing of her husband. She has continued to work hard at maintaining her life and home, and with God’s grace, has been successful. It has not been without challenge, however. Patricia continues to care for her special needs daughter who is herself now an adult. Together, Patricia and her daughter operate a pet-sitting service from their home. Patricia is active in her church, and we're excited to bless her with this project!

Our Both Hands Project
