Sophie Orphan China
After providing respite care for a little boy with Down Syndrome, their minds and hearts were opened to the idea of adopting a child with special needs. They found Sophie’s biography on an international adoption email and stepped out in faith. Through much prayer and confirmation, they realized this was the daughter they had been waiting for. However, international adoption is very expensive, but God has provided for them in many ways including the approval of their family for this project.

Ms. Teresa has been a widow for fourteen years, and is a mother to four, grandmother to three, and a foster mom! Two of her four children were adopted at birth, and one son was adopted through the foster care system. Her heart for the Lord and others is immense. She is so excited to be a part of this Both Hands project, and to receive some needed care to her home.
