Jeff & Tasha Schlittenhart

Clarksville, AR

Very early in their relationship, Jeff and Tasha discussed pursuing adoption and/or foster care. Tasha was raised in the foster care system and had always had a heart to one day love on kids in similar situations. Over the course of their almost 14 year marriage they had 4 biological children and traveled constantly as a family for Jeff's job. Tasha first saw Luther’s photo in the fall of 2014, and instantly fell in love. At the time, adoption wasn’t an option due to the traveling component of Jeff’s job, but she began praying.

Luther

Orphan China

In 2016, the Schlittenharts brought their daughter home from China. They were surprised to learn she had a life threatening heart defect and secondary lung condition, and they spent the last year and a half getting her through life saving procedures. Thankfully, Norah is now healthy and doing well! Three and a half years after first seeing Luther’s photo, they have decided it’s now time to bring him home too. They are in awe and overjoyed that he will finally be joining their family forever!

Mrs. Shery

Widow Dover, AR

The widow we are serving is Mrs. Shery. Her husband SFC Johnny Ragsdale passed away this last September very unexpectedly at the age of 49. They had been married 7 years. They had been working on fixing their home up with the intention of selling it this spring so that they could build their dream home on property they had bought. With Johnny gone, Mrs. Shery needs help to finish the projects they had started and intended to do to fix their home.

Our Both Hands Project

Project March 10, 2018

A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help an orphan to become adopted into a forever family. Will you sponsor us?

Help bring Luther home!
