Garrett & Tessa Turner

Roanoke, VA

We are the Turners and our adoption story has been a lesson in the ultimate lows and highs life has to offer. Miscarriage is an extremely personal hardship for many who are trying to have a family and unfortunately for us we lost four babies. But what God did for us through our journey is incredible. We looked to Him for answers. Our marriage became stronger. We started to really think about our purpose on this earth and listened to God for the answer. Through life, God will never leave you.

Scottie Jean

Orphan USA

Adoption to us is personal. Are there other things that could be done to further His kingdom? Sure. But through our miscarriages, having a child became personal to Garrett and I. . God does incredible things with people and we want to share that His love is worth seeking. We were blessed to welcome Scottie Jean into our family, 5 weeks earlier than expected. We love her so much already!

Ms. Simmons lost her husband 18 years ago. She lives in Roanoke, Virginia. She is now retired and spends most of her time loving on her grandkids. Today, her home is in need of some tender loving care and we feel honored to bless her through our service project.
