Bethany Purdy

Program Director

Bethany Purdy joined the Both Hands team in January 2016 as the administrative assistant and project coordinator. She has a passion for helping others thrive while they fulfill the Lord’s calling on their lives. Her desire to help widows and orphans comes from the conviction of James 1:27 and the joy of seeing a child be so loved by their forever family. Her favorite part of the job is connecting with families and watching them build a legacy for their future children.

Bethany has known JT and his family since they adopted Gracie from China in 2003. She has loved watching the Olsons and staff grow Both Hands into the incredibly impactful foundation it is today.

Bethany studied Organizational Communication at Azusa Pacific University in the Los Angeles area and graduated in 2014. She also spent a semester studying abroad at Queen’s University in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Bethany met the love of her life in Belfast, and they were married in Tennessee in November of 2014. She lives with her husband, Nathan, in Brentwood and enjoys traveling, hiking, and making Irish comfort food with family.
