Lawrence & Sarah Young
Lawrence and Sarah have been married for 15 years and have 4 biological daughters. Lawrence is an elementary teacher/PE coach and Sarah is a childbirth instructor and doula. Serving families and children is a central part of their lives. The Youngs did foster care for several years before God called them to international adoption. God clearly opened the doors for them to adopt from Haiti – which makes sense because Sarah lived there for 2 years after college, working with orphaned and abandoned children.
From start to finish, the process of adopting their boys and bringing them home will cost roughly $80,000.
"S" and "O"
The Youngs are delighted to add 2 boys to their family! "S" and "O" are biological brothers who have been waiting for a forever family since they were very little. The Youngs are so thankful the boys can stay together and grow up in the same home. The boys will have lots of adjusting to do once they arrive, but the Youngs are eager to become a bustling family of 8!
Connie
Connie recently lost her husband Bob this past December, after being married since 1968! After "retiring," Bob served as security for the Kansas City Chiefs! Connie is a "crafter" and talented quilter. She lives in their home of 50+ years and has multiple projects for our team to complete. Connie attends the same church as the Youngs and is so incredibly thankful for the work our team will do around her acreage and home. We are so honored to be able to bless her in this huge way!
A Different Kind of Fundraiser
A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help an orphan to become adopted into a forever family. Will you sponsor us?
