What's An Orphan Care Project?
Both Hands helps churches fund their missions through completing a service project helping a widow in their community.
How A Project Works
A church applies to host a Both Hands project
Sponsorship is raised while serving a local widow
100% of the funds raised support the church's orphan care ministry
The Steps
Gather a Team
Both Hands serves widows & orphans, but each project also brings your church community together! Every project starts with a project leader that gathers a Core Team of volunteers to serve and fundraise for your church's ministry.
Find a Widow
Widows are often overlooked in our communities and need help, but aren't sure how to find it. Both Hands will help you identify a widow in your community to serve for your project.
Serve for a Day
Now the fun begins! You and your team will serve your widow for a day while building community. Both Hands will coach you through getting supplies donated for tasks such as painting, cleaning, landscaping and decluttering.
Raise Funds for Your Ministry
You and your team raise funds for your ministry by sending fundraising letters, sharing your web page, and raising awareness in your congregation. Both Hands covers our operating costs through private donors, so NO funds raised by you and your team are deducted for Both Hands' operating costs.
Our Orphan Care projects raise an average of $13,130 for orphan causes!
