Ryan & Emily DeVita

September 30, 2023 | Locust Grove, GA

Hi! We are Ryan and Emily DeVita. We have been married for 8 years, and we have four biological children: Jude (7), Eden (5), Jasper (3), and Emmylou (1).

The Lord began working on our hearts about adoption through the testimony of a dear friend who has adopted two little girls from India. Upon hearing the heartbreaking statistics of the number of orphans in India and the lack of care and resources available to them, we knew we had to take action and obey the Lord’s command to care for the orphans in their distress.

Orphan | India

We are currently waiting to be matched with a little girl between the age of 6 months-3 years. Our family is open to a child with disabilities because they are unwanted and most susceptible to being trafficked after aging out of the orphanage as early as 7 years old. We believe all life has value, and it is God who has given these children value. Every child deserves a loving family, no matter what their background or disability.

Widow | Georgia

Ms. Sherry is our neighbor whom we met two years ago. She previously worked in education and also owned a successful embroidery shop before retiring in 2015. She was married to her husband, Larry for 19 years before he went to be with the Lord in 2019. She has a son and daughter-in-law, two granddaughters and a great granddaughter, who live in Texas.

She enjoys gardening and being outdoors, serving the community of Locust Grove in many capacities, and is an active member of her church.

Our team will be meeting some needs for Mrs. Sherry which include lawn care, landscaping, repairing her front stairs, pressure washing, junk removal and cleaning of a barn on the property. We are so blessed and honored to have the privilege to assist her with these things during our Project Day!

A Different Kind of Fundraiser

A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help an orphan to become adopted into a forever family. Will you sponsor us?
