Jake & Rachel Dobson
We are thrilled to be on our journey to parenthood, God put the dream of adopting an orphan from Africa on Rachel’s heart years ago. Adopting was also something Jake had thought about and Rachel’s dream of adopting reinforced that desire. While dating we both discussed and wanted to pursue adoption. After 5 years of marriage we have decided it is time to move forward with this dream. We had hoped to have a child then adopt, but have been unsuccessful in getting pregnant. We feel now is the time to pursue our adoption dream. We are excited to be on this journey and are trusting the Lord throughout the whole process. The total cost of the adoption is $42,000.

Waiting Child
We are working with Small World Adoption Agency to adopt an orphan age 0-3 from Liberia. We started the adoption process in January 2022, it could take 2-3 years. We completed the home study in June 2022 and are continuing to work through the other steps in the process.
Melissa
Melissa has a beautiful soul and love for the Lord. This last winter she became a widow when her husband of 32 years passed away. Steve and Melissa pastored a Bible Church in rural Idaho that Rachel attended while growing up. They raised 4 children and served in ministry for most of their adult lives. Melissa still works with children's and women's ministry and works as a church secretary. We are excited to be able to bless her with this project by doing some work on her house and yard.
A Different Kind of Fundraiser
A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help an orphan to become adopted into a forever family. Will you sponsor us?
