Our hearts were drawn to adoption by a shared longing to offer a loving home to a child in need. Our journey led us to embrace parenthood through adoption, guided by a deep-seated belief in the transformative power of family. Fueled by empathy and compassion, we welcomed our son with open arms, cherishing each moment as a testament to the enduring bond we share and God’s glory. Our commitment to nurturing and supporting Luca reflects the boundless love that fills our hearts.

Domestic Adoption | United States

In 2022, shortly after the loss of our first son, Hudson, we felt called to start the adoption process. We felt Hudson was guiding us to proceed and take the next steps and encouraging us to continue our dream of building a family. A few short months later we were selected to be the adoptive parents of baby Luca and have been with him since birth. He has brought such a light to this world and has a heart of gold. This was a domestic adoption and by the time finalization occurred, costs were north of $95,000.

Widow | Minnesota

In the fall of 2021, just after his 45th birthday, Carrie's husband Jason suffered a brain bleed, and died suddenly and unexpectedly shortly after. This left Carrie and their two children (Cole, now 15, and Hailey, 17) to learn how to do life without him, in their grief. Though this new life has been daunting at times, Carrie has found a new sense of accomplishment in learning new skills that Jason would have taken care of in the past. She is also starting her own ministry to support widows in their darkest moments.

Here is what Carrie said about this project: "The Both Hands project will provide both practical assistance with yard work and a sense of purpose in supporting myself and others facing their own trials. Through these endeavors, I have found solace in knowing that our journey of healing can also uplift others in need. I am honored and grateful to be the recipient of this amazing cause. There is something so powerful about community support."

A Different Kind of Fundraiser

A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help a child to become adopted into a forever family. Will you sponsor us?
