Joel Eckert

Joel Eckert is an in-house counsel for Experian North America advising Experian’s health business unit, Experian Health.  Joel is also the Privacy Officer and new product development legal liaison for Experian Health.  In these roles, Joel provides counsel regarding complex customer deals and regulatory issues applicable to data companies in the healthcare industry.

Prior to his time at Experian, Joel was a partner in the Nashville office of a large regional law firm and assisted the firm’s corporate and individual clients in a wide range of litigation matters including healthcare, environmental, and general commercial disputes. Joel also represented clients in the entertainment industry in various litigation matters and assisted parents and children with education and sports law-related issues and litigation.

Joel’s family complete a Both Hands project in April 2014. He has served on the Board of Both Hands Foundation since 2014 and has served as the Secretary of Both Hands since 2021.

Joel and his wife Tracy (teacher) live in Nashville, TN with their daughter Anna (15) and son Isaiah (9).
