Making an Impact in Middle TN: Both Hands Featured on WKRN News 2
We are thrilled to share that Both Hands founder, JT Olson, and care manager, Ann Vysoky, recently appeared on WKRN News 2 in Nashville to discuss the upcoming Ty² Vision Project. During the segment, they shared the heart behind our mission and how this day of service transforms the lives of widows and adoptive families in our community.
What is the Vision Project?
Scheduled for May 2nd, the Vision Project is our organization’s largest service project of the year. Our goal for 2026 is to serve over 20 widows, and to do that, we need hundreds of volunteers to join us.
- Who can serve?: Everyone is welcome, including families with children, small groups, and friends.
- What to expect: Volunteers assist with various tasks such as landscaping, cleaning, and painting. While some projects require skilled labor, most are simply about showing up and having a great time while giving back.
- Our Promise: This project is vital because it helps us maintain our promise to families that 100% of the funds they raise for their adoptions go directly toward their adoption. The Vision Project is how we fund our operations throughout the year.
Showing Up for Your Neighbor
A guiding principle of Both Hands is that you don’t have to wait for a disaster to show up for your neighbors. As JT shared in the interview, the impact of this work goes far beyond home repairs. By stepping in to help, volunteers act as the hands and feet of Christ that remind those who are hurting that they are not forgotten and are deeply cared for. Watch the full clip below to hear more about JT’s personal story and why we are so passionate about serving those in need.
Let’s come together to be a light in the stories of resilient families in Middle Tennessee. We hope to see you there!
