Adoption Matching Grants!

About Both Hands

At Both Hands, our mission is to serve orphans, widows and Christian adoptive families as it says in James 1:27. We believe finances should never be an obstacle for a family who is called to adopt. We do this by helping adoptive families and volunteer groups organize service projects for widows while raising funds for adoptions and orphan causes.

Similar to a 5k race, a family or group gathers a team of volunteers and find a widow in their community to serve. That group also sends out fundraising letters to raise sponsorship for their day of service with all of the funds raised going towards adoptions or orphan care while the widow receives free help around their home.

We've completed over 1,350 projects across 45 states and have raised $19.4 million for adoption costs, and counting! With the average family raising $22,000 per project the past 3 years in a row, our model is the highest yielding adoption fundraiser out there.

Adoption Grants Currently Available

Throughout 2025, Both Hands is offering $3,000 matching grants! To qualify, your project...

  1. must be completed  within the calendar year, or six months from approval, whichever is sooner,
  2. must raise at least $3,000 and
  3. families must send out at least 200 of fundraising letters to their friends and family to help raise support for their project.

To help even more, projects are eligible to receive $1,000 supply grants provided per project! We encourage you to use these funds towards supplies for the widow's home and fundraising letter supplies/postage. (And don't forget to reach out to local businesses to ask them for additional project day supply donations!)

The Both Hands staff coaches every family through the entire process in addition to providing an online project toolkit accessible 24/7 to all families. We also setup your fundraising page and manage all of the online and mailed checks you receive. 100% of the funds raised go to the cause; we do not take out any portion for our operating costs.
