Josh & Mercy Allen

September 12, 2026 | Columbus, GA

We are Josh and Mercy Allen! We have been married since September 2015 and have prayed over the opportunity to adopt throughout our marriage. We are grateful for God adopting us into His family and want to display that love with our children, biological or adopted.

Josh is a nurse practitioner at a primary care clinic at Martin Army Community Hospital. Mercy is a graphic designer for a company based in Birmingham and works from home. She is currently pursuing a certification in bookkeeping.

We love playing games, going on walks and being outside, watching movies, reading good books, and enjoying great food. We love Jesus and we want to cultivate a love of Christ in our children.

**The first $4,000 donated to this project will be matched!**

Baby Allen

International Adoption | Hungary

We have desired to adopt since the beginning of our marriage. The Lord led us through many painful years of infertility. He allowed us to get pregnant in 2023; unfortunately our baby girl, Hope, had a life-limiting chromosomal abnormality called Trisomy 18. She was born April 5, 2024 and we spent 32 glorious days with her until she went to be with Jesus on May 7, 2024. Since having Hope, God has showed and taught us that He is with us, even through the darkest valleys. He provides us our daily bread. Our passion for adoption has grown since knowing Hope and we are both excited to bring home our kid(s) to join our family. The Lord has led us to adopt from Hungary using Lifeline Children's Services, a Christian adoption agency.

Herman

Widower | Georgia

Herman's wife Janett passed away due to cancer earlier this year. The loss of a beloved spouse often makes it difficult for a widow or widower to keep up with the needed repairs and improvements to their homes. Our team is so excited to bless Herman with this project!

A Different Kind of Fundraiser

A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widower's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help a child to become adopted into a forever family. Will you sponsor us?

No Administration Fees

We don’t take a penny out of the funds raised for adoption or orphan care projects for ourselves.

We are committed to doing everything we can to help our Both Hands families afford adoption. That’s why we don't take out any administrative fees from donations to our projects. If a donor chooses not to cover the credit card and processing fees, Both Hands will cover it to ensure 100% of the gift supports the cause.

We raise funds for our operations separately through support from donors like you. By supporting Both Hands, you help us serve more adoptive families, bless more widows, and bring even more children into their forever families.
