Mike & Beth Bessinger

August 9, 2025 | Nappanee, IN

We are Mike and Beth, and we’ve been married for 10 years. Beth felt called to adoption from a young age and always believed it was how God intended to grow our family. Early in our relationship, we talked about adoption, and Mike wholeheartedly agreed, believing that all children are God’s children and don’t need to be biologically related to be deeply loved and cherished. Our son Asher joined our family through adoption in 2019, and we are now excited to welcome another child into our home.

**The first $4,000 donated to this project will be matched!!**

Domestic Adoption | United States

Earlier this month, we received unexpected news that our adoption agency is closing. We are a home study–approved family, hoping to adopt an infant here in the United States, and have been actively waiting for nearly two years. Because of the long wait, we had already joined a second agency in May—something we now see as God’s provision. Unfortunately, this means we’ve lost the funds we had invested with our original agency, and our overall costs have increased significantly. We’re trusting God to provide and continuing to pray for the expectant mom who will choose us. We can’t wait to welcome a child into our family!

Widower | Indiana

We’re honored to serve our friend Tyler, who we were in the same Sunday school class with for a number of years. Tyler and his wife Kelsey were high school sweethearts. In January, Kelsey gave birth to their precious baby girl but tragically passed away from complications less than a week later. Tyler is now raising their three children on his own. We’ll be spending the day helping with painting, landscaping, yard work, and creating a home office. Our prayer is to complete enough projects so Tyler doesn’t have to worry about home repairs or updates as much in the next couple of years, allowing him to focus on his family during this season.

A Different Kind of Fundraiser

A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widower's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help a child to become adopted into a forever family. Will you sponsor us?

No Administration Fees

We don’t take a penny out of the funds raised for adoption or orphan care projects for ourselves.

We are committed to doing everything we can to help our Both Hands families afford adoption. That’s why we don't take out any administrative fees from donations to our projects. If a donor chooses not to cover the credit card and processing fees, Both Hands will cover it to ensure 100% of the gift supports the cause.

We raise funds for our operations separately through support from donors like you. By supporting Both Hands, you help us serve more adoptive families, bless more widows, and bring even more children into their forever families.
