Lahairoi Carlisle

August 9, 2025 | Redding, CA

I come from a loving and supportive family made up of not only relatives, but also a close-knit community of friends who have become family. We are all followers of Jesus, united by a shared faith and a deep commitment to care for others as He does. Our lives are shaped by the heart of Christ, marked by compassion, service, and sacrificial love. Adoption reflects that very heart: welcoming, redeeming, and loving unconditionally. It’s an extension of how we live and love as a family.

I’m pursuing adoption as a single mother, walking in obedience to a call God placed on my heart. This journey is not one I take alone. I am surrounded by a loving, faith-filled community of family and friends who live out the heart of Jesus by caring for others. Adoption is a reflection of God’s love, offering a child a place to belong, be cherished, and grow in a home rooted in faith. With the support of those around me and my trust in God’s provision, I’m stepping forward in faith to open my heart and home to the child He has for me.

**The first $4,000 donated to this project will be matched!!**

Domestic Adoption | United States

I’ve completed all the steps toward adoption and now stand in a place of faith, simply waiting on the remaining funds to bring this child home. Adoption is more than a process; for me, it is the pursuit of God’s heart. Scripture says, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few” (Luke 10:2). I believe adoption is part of that great harvest, an invitation to step into God’s redemptive work. Will you partner with me and help reap the harvest of adoption? Together, we can reflect the heart of Jesus and make room for one more child to know the love of a forever family.

Allen

Widower | California

Allen was married to his beloved wife, Kathy, for 36½ years before she passed away from lymphoma at just 53 years old. Together, they raised five children and were blessed with 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Just months after losing Kathy, Allen suffered another devastating blow, the loss of one of his grandchildren.

Now navigating life as a single father and grandfather, Allen continues to work faithfully at Sierra Pacific Sawmill, where he’s been employed for 25 years. Though life has been marked by deep grief, Allen presses on with quiet strength and a tender heart.

“What I loved most about my wife was her heart and her sense of humor. Her heart was so contagious that my own mother warned me, ‘If you do anything to scare her away, I’ll end you!’ They had an instant bond, and she unlocked a part of my heart my mother hadn’t seen in years.”

This month, my team and I have the joy and honor of serving Allen through a day of practical love by deep cleaning, decluttering, and yard work to restore peace and order in his home. We’re stepping in with the joy of the Lord to express His heart to a man who has carried so much.

Will you join us? Whether through prayer, giving, or showing up to serve, your response can make a real impact. As Jesus said, “GO.” And so, we go.

A Different Kind of Fundraiser

A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widower's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help a child to become adopted into a forever family. Will you sponsor us?
