Hello! We’re Derek and Sarah. We met in college while studying abroad in Australia and quickly became best friends. After graduation, we married and recently celebrated our 12th anniversary. Our 4 year old son, Thomas, fills our lives with joy and plenty of adventure. As a family, we love spending time outdoors, especially camping, hiking, and exploring the beautiful parks nearby.

We have always imagined our family being four, possibly five. Even before having our first child, we knew having a biological child might be difficult and had discussed adoption early on. Although we were blessed with our son, the desire to adopt never left our hearts. It would be an incredible honor to be chosen by an expecting family to become an adoptive family.
Waiting Widow
The loss of a beloved spouse often makes it difficult for a widow to keep up with the needed repairs and improvements to her home. We are excited to bless a widow in our community in a big way!
A Different Kind of Fundraiser
A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help a child to become adopted into a forever family. Will you sponsor us?

Your tax-deductible donation is to the 501(c)3 non-profit organization Both Hands Foundation (EIN 26-1879659). In following IRS guidelines, Both Hands’ governing board retains full discretion over the donation’s use, but intends to honor the donor’s suggestion. Both Hands does not charge an administrative fee and raises its operating support separately. Donors that supply their email will receive a tax receipt upon donation. Those who leave it blank will receive a mailed tax receipt at year end, if the donation is $250 or more.

If a donor chooses not to cover the credit card and processing fees, Both Hands will cover it to ensure 100% of the gift supports the cause.
