Michael & Megan Horst

August 23, 2025 | Forest, VA

The desire to adopt has been a part of our story for a long time. Even before we were married, Megan felt a deep calling toward adoption and dreamed of one day welcoming a child into our family this way. Over time, Michael’s heart was moved as well, and together, our shared desire to adopt has grown stronger. In recent years, that dream has taken root and blossomed—and now, we are filled with hope and excitement as we prepare to open our hearts and home to a precious little one.

Our adoption journey thus far has filled us both with great joy and anticipation as we trust God for wisdom and provision. We have been encouraged by many friends who have gone through the adoption process to step out in faith and watch God provide for our needs along the way, and He has, in many ways.

**UPDATE** We were just matched and the baby is due in October!!

We are currently clients of Mustard Seed Adoption Consultants. We are home study approved and waiting to be matched with an expectant mother in the United States. This could happen at any time, and we are trusting that the Lord has the right match in mind.

Widow | Virginia

The loss of a beloved spouse often makes it difficult for a widow to keep up with the needed repairs and improvements to her home. We are excited to bless a widow in our community in a big way!

From Ms. Kitty: "I’m Kitty and I’m so excited for Megan and Michael trying to adopt. I couldn’t have children and it’s really been lonesome in my old age. I’m 80, with a bad back, so this project means a lot to me as a widow. May God bless them mightily."

A Different Kind of Fundraiser

A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help a child to become adopted into a forever family. Will you sponsor us?
