Jonathan & Tara Jones
Hello! We are Jonathan and Tara Jones- we live in Portland, TN and have been married going on 13 years 🙂 We live a simple but fulfilling lifestyle on our little 5-acre farm with happy wild dogs, chickens, honeybees and gardens! Bearing children naturally has not been in our story yet and we always said that if God puts adoption on either of our hearts to share with the other and go from there- so here we are! We decided October of 2025 that we were going to adopt and now we are working with a private adoption agency- we’re Home Study approved and now in the ‘could by any day’ phase 🙂 This process has already changed our lives in a HUGE way and is bringing us closer to God and to each other. We are grateful to all of our loved ones and anyone out there that is a part of this adoption journey 🙂

Baby Jones
Right now, only God knows this story :) We are ready in every aspect to bring home a baby. We even have a supply of breast milk waiting in the freezer from our local community of mothers that donated! We are working with Jennifer Dozier of Adoption Advocacy of TN, who has been a blessing to us. We did have a birth mom select us in early June of this year but after she gave birth, possibly changed her mind- not sure as she stopped communicating with our adoption lady. We know in our souls that God has a plan for us, so we are leaning on Him for strength and patience :)
Ms. April
We are honored to help Ms. April whose husband passed away suddenly late last year. They have 3 teenagers and as you can imagine, a very busy life! Jonathan worked with April's husband at the Police Department, and he had made a big impact on Jonathan in a positive way both professionally and personally. We will be helping April with a few decluttering projects as well as getting her some organization and storage solutions figured out in a storage shed that she recently had built. We are excited to get our hands dirty to help relieve a stress that she carries on her shoulders as we know this project is just one of many.
A Different Kind of Fundraiser
A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help a child to become adopted into a forever family. Will you sponsor us?

Your tax-deductible donation is to the 501(c)3 non-profit organization Both Hands Foundation (EIN 26-1879659). In following IRS guidelines, Both Hands’ governing board retains full discretion over the donation’s use, but intends to honor the donor’s suggestion. Both Hands does not charge an administrative fee and raises its operating support separately. Donors that supply their email will receive a tax receipt upon donation. Those who leave it blank will receive a mailed tax receipt at year end, if the donation is $250 or more.
