Lake Country Lutheran High School 2026
At Lake Country Lutheran High School, our passion is simple and clear: We Teach Truth—the Truth revealed in God’s Word and centered in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Because of this calling, we want to be a part of a Both Hands Project. Jesus reminds us in Matthew 22 that the greatest commandment is to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, and mind, and the second is connected: to love our neighbor as ourselves. James 1:27 tells us how this love takes shape in everyday life: by caring for widows and orphans—those who cannot care for themselves. This, James says, is “pure religion.” For us at LCL, joining a Both Hands Project that cares for a widow in need and connects a family through the beautiful gift of adoption is a natural way to live out the Truth we teach, by putting our faith into action, loving God through loving others, and showing the gospel in tangible, life-giving ways.
**The first $3,000 donated to this project will be matched!!**

The Ellenberger Family Adoption
Funds raised through this project will provide a matching grant for the Ellenberger family’s adoption! John and Erica have been married for 11 years and were blessed to welcome their daughter, Grace, through adoption in 2022 and their son, Henry, in 2024. Now, they feel God leading them to grow their family through adoption once again. They are excited to follow where He leads as they wait to be matched with the child God has prepared for their family!
Ms. Barbara, Ms. Elrid, & Ms. Wendy
Barbara lives in Hartland, WI, with her Australian Labradoodle, Nash. Her husband, Michael, went to be with the Lord 10 months ago. She finds comfort knowing that “the Lord remembers THIS widow and the orphans who will be blessed with a family” through Both Hands. Barbara is grateful for the LCL students and faculty who are showing God’s love through their service. “Praise our King Jesus for His love poured out to everyone involved!”
Elrid is 86 (almost 87) and has been a widow for as long as she was married. She lives in Brookfield, WI, where she has lovingly cared for her home and yard for many years. A talented quilter, she enjoys time with her supportive quilting friends. Though asking for help is difficult, Elrid is thankful for God’s provision of willing hands and caring hearts to serve her.
Wendy lives in Genesee Depot, WI, with her two canine companions, Lilly and Luna. She and her husband, Lyle, were married in 1992 and enjoyed working on their land together. Now a widow for eight years, Wendy has found that caring for the property has become too much to manage alone. She is grateful that the Lord continues to meet her needs through the love and care of the Family of God.
A Different Kind of Fundraiser
A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help a child to become adopted into a forever family. Will you sponsor us?

No Administration Fees
We don’t take a penny out of the funds raised for adoption or orphan care projects for ourselves.
We are committed to doing everything we can to help our Both Hands families afford adoption. That’s why we don't take out any administrative fees from donations to our projects. If a donor chooses not to cover the credit card and processing fees, Both Hands will cover it to ensure 100% of the gift supports the cause.
We raise funds for our operations separately through support from donors like you. By supporting Both Hands, you help us serve more adoptive families, bless more widows, and bring even more children into their forever families.
