David & Kylee Rader

May 17, 2025 | Kenilworth, IL
Hi! We are Kylee and David Rader, along with our son Owen. We have been happily married for 12.5 adventurous years. After a challenging pregnancy and delivery, we realized that pursuing any further biological children would not be wise. This led us to accelerate our adoption plan. Kylee grew up wanting to adopt after witnessing the significant need while living in the Philippines. We are incredibly excited to adopt from India and can’t wait to bring our new son home! Adoption is expensive (around $50,000), and since we are pursuing a special needs adoption, there will be additional expenses once we get him home. We are so thankful for the opportunity to grow our family this way.
**The first $4,000 donated to this project will be matched!!**

Orphan | India

Our baby boy is waiting for us in Northeast India. We feel so blessed that he has been well cared for since the day he was born. His parents made the selfless choice to recognize that they could not provide him with proper care and shelter, so they surrendered him to a nearby, privately run orphanage. We hope to travel to India this summer or fall to bring him back home. Owen is already looking at his photo on the fridge and exclaiming, "Baby Brother!"

Ms. Sheryl

Widow | Illinois

Sheryl is the widow we will be serving in May. She is a member of CityLine Church and actively serves her church community by gathering prayer requests and sharing them with her group. Like many homes in Chicago, Sheryl's house was built around 1910 and has many original features that have fallen into disrepair. We want to make extensive improvements to her stairs, kitchen, and bathrooms. We are praying for all the materials and skilled labor needed for this project.

A Different Kind of Fundraiser

A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help a child to become adopted into a forever family. Will you sponsor us?

No Administration Fees

We don’t take a penny out of the funds raised for adoption or orphan care projects for ourselves.

We are committed to doing everything we can to help our Both Hands families afford adoption. That’s why we don't take out any administrative fees from donations to our projects. If a donor chooses not to cover the credit card and processing fees, Both Hands will cover it to ensure 100% of the gift supports the cause.

We raise funds for our operations separately through support from donors like you. By supporting Both Hands, you help us serve more adoptive families, bless more widows, and bring even more children into their forever families.
