Matt & Shelby Seybert

October 21, 2023 | Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, PA

We got married in 2018 and started pursuing adoption at the end of 2020, but were put on hold due to COVID. We’ve always known that adoption would be part of our story and are so excited it is happening for us now. We are adopting from Taiwan while living in Taiwan and hope to keep our kids connected to their birth culture in as many ways as possible.

Orphans | Taiwan

We have been matched with 2 brothers! They are 6 and 8 and we cannot wait to meet them and bring them home! We might be skipping diapers and night time feedings, but we know we have our work cut out for us with Chinese language and two at once!

Waiting Widows

Widows | Taiwan & U.S.

We are the first international family to do a Both Hands project, so we will be getting a little creative! We plan to have "serve weekend," while we are serving a widow (or widower) in Taiwan with some of our local friends, our friends in America will also serve a widow on the same weekend. We have a few friends spaced all over the world so we may invite others to drop off baked goods and visit a widow on the same weekend to continue spreading the blessing to places where we don't have a whole team to do a big project.

A Different Kind of Fundraiser

A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help an orphan to become adopted into a forever family. Will you sponsor us?

No Administration Fees

We don’t take a penny out of the funds raised for adoption or orphan care projects for ourselves.

We are committed to doing everything we can to help our Both Hands families afford adoption. That’s why we don't take out any administrative fees from donations to our projects. If a donor chooses not to cover the credit card and processing fees, Both Hands will cover it to ensure 100% of the gift supports the cause.

We raise funds for our operations separately through support from donors like you. By supporting Both Hands, you help us serve more adoptive families, bless more widows, and bring even more children into their forever families.
