Jeff Hartline

As residents of Middle Tennessee for almost 40 years, Jeff and his wife, Melodie, served as foster parents for infants and teens while raising their three children, Megan, Wes, and Logan, who also serves on the Board of Tennessee Agape. They first encountered Both Hands eight years ago when their daughter Megan and son-in-law Hayes Holland partnered with Both Hands to support the costs of adopting their beautiful daughter Liberty  Jane. Their experience, along with JT’s story, so impressed them that they continued to support Both Hands as part of their annual giving.

Jeff has a multi-faceted employment experience in teaching, healthcare, political consulting, advocacy, and kitchen design and custom cabinetmaking. He has served as an adult Bible teacher for 40 years and as deacon and elder in local churches in Nashville.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Bible from Freed-Hardeman University and a master’s in religious studies from Lipscomb University, where he served as an adjunct faculty member in the Bible department for 13 years. He taught American history to college-bound homeschool high school students for 15 years and founded the Middle Tennessee Monarchs Homeschool Baseball program in the late 1990s.

Jeff and Melodie have been happily married for 44 years and currently reside in Lebanon, Tennessee. He works as Senior Recruiting Consultant for American Physician Partners in Brentwood where he supports partner hospitals in Texas and New Mexico with the recruitment of emergency medicine physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.

Jeff enjoys writing, teaching, working in his wood shop, and spending time with his children and 11 beautiful grandchildren who all live in the Nashville area. Jeff and Melodie attend and serve at the College Hills Church of Christ in Lebanon.
