We are a ministry couple and have been married for five years. We have prayed diligently throughout our marriage for the Lord to grow our family, and He has answered our prayers through opening our hearts to adoption and calling us to take a step forward in faith!
Domestic Adoption
We are pursuing a domestic open adoption. We are home study approved and have been waiting since October 2022 to be matched.
Cheryl
Richard and Cheryl are both from Augusta, GA and met while on a blind date set up by a friend. After just one date, Cheryl went home and told her mom "That's the man I'm going to marry." In April of 2022 they celebrated 43 years of marriage. They raised 3 kids and have 11 grandkids. In early summer of 2022, Richard was hospitalized and went through many tests to determine what would best help his weak heart. After weeks of hospitalization, he was sent home on Hospice care. Cheryl took care of her husband day and night for two weeks. Richard passed away in July of 2022. Cheryl became a widow, slowly learning how to take over all of the many responsibilities, bills, and tasks that Richard had always handled. She lives in the house they built together 38 years ago. She works part time as a Registered Nurse in a urology surgery center.
A Different Kind of Fundraiser
A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help an orphan to become adopted into a forever family. Will you sponsor us?

Your tax-deductible donation is to the 501(c)3 non-profit organization Both Hands Foundation (EIN 26-1879659). In following IRS guidelines, Both Hands’ governing board retains full discretion over the donation’s use, but intends to honor the donor’s suggestion. Both Hands does not charge an administrative fee and raises its operating support separately. Donors that supply their email will receive a tax receipt upon donation. Those who leave it blank will receive a mailed tax receipt at year end, if the donation is $250 or more.

We are committed to doing everything we can to help our Both Hands families afford adoption. That’s why we don't take out any administrative fees from donations to our projects. If a donor chooses not to cover the credit card and processing fees, Both Hands will cover it to ensure 100% of the gift supports the cause.
