Nick & Kristina Staal

November 11, 2023 | Connecticut, CT

Meet Nick & Kristina Staal. They have always had adoption in their hearts. They were both blessed to have grown up seeing adoption as a regular part of family life, and as a way to grow and be a family. They have both also worked with children for many years. After enduring recurrent pregnancy loss, their mission to adopt became clear. After failed adoptions, they were blessed to adopt two beautiful girls over the span of 4 years.

Recently the Staals began the process to adopt again expecting the journey to take a few years, however, they were soon contacted by their adoption agency asking them to adopt a baby due in July. Excitedly, they said yes, and realized their timelines had considerably shortened. This led them to reach out to Both Hands to help support an adoption fundraiser and widow project. Nick and Kristina are forever grateful God has led them to grow their family through adoption, and thank you for your help and support.

Widow | Connecticut

The widow we will be serving is a local resident of 35 years and a retired board of education secretary. Her husband was an army veteran who served for 35 years, and was known for going out of his way to help those in need. Sadly, he suddenly passed away last year. We are honored to help her complete projects that her husband was working toward fixing around the house. She is a wonderful lady, with a heart for children.

A Different Kind of Fundraiser

A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help a child to become adopted into a forever family. Will you sponsor us?

No Administration Fees

We don’t take a penny out of the funds raised for adoption or orphan care projects for ourselves.

We are committed to doing everything we can to help our Both Hands families afford adoption. That’s why we don't take out any administrative fees from donations to our projects. If a donor chooses not to cover the credit card and processing fees, Both Hands will cover it to ensure 100% of the gift supports the cause.

We raise funds for our operations separately through support from donors like you. By supporting Both Hands, you help us serve more adoptive families, bless more widows, and bring even more children into their forever families.
