One of my favorite quotes is by Frederick Buechner. He says, “The place God calls you to is where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet.” My husband and I have had the opportunity to travel all over the world and have seen first hand the orphan’s deep hunger for family. At the same time, we have a deep gladness in children – God’s image bearers! – and a desire to have a family. Adoption has been our calling and simultaneously the main way the Lord has met this desire in us! He has blessed us with four beautiful children – three through the gift of adoption.
Waiting Child
Love grows more love and we felt the Lord leading us to another adoption about a year ago. We have a six year age gap between our daughter and our youngest son. We see this age gap as an opportunity to bless our family with another previous child. There is room at our table! After much prayer, we decided to pursue the Colombia special needs program. We are so excited to be partnering with Both Hands in this fundraiser and know these funds will help us immensely to bring our waiting child home.
Ms. Libby
Ms. Libby taught in the public schools in Georgia from 1975-2009. She became a Georgia Master Gardener in 2011 and served in Clayton County until 2023. Since retiring she has been in volunteer mode, going on mission trips and teaching Bible studies at McDonough Road Baptist Church, where she is a member. She also sings in the choir and raises chickens.
A Different Kind of Fundraiser

Your tax-deductible donation is to the 501(c)3 non-profit organization Both Hands Foundation (EIN 26-1879659). In following IRS guidelines, Both Hands’ governing board retains full discretion over the donation’s use, but intends to honor the donor’s suggestion. Both Hands does not charge an administrative fee and raises its operating support separately. Donors that supply their email will receive a tax receipt upon donation. Those who leave it blank will receive a mailed tax receipt at year end, if the donation is $250 or more.

If a donor chooses not to cover the credit card and processing fees, Both Hands will cover it to ensure 100% of the gift supports the cause.
