Lafayette Foster Care Project – Team Peggy
Funds for this project will go towards a home for children transitioning into foster care. This home seeks to change the way foster care begins by providing a loving, supportive environment for children in our community, easing the burden on the Department of Child Resources, and equipping placement families to say yes, all on removal day.
Foster Care
100% of the funds we raise with this project will go to help a foster care transition home provide a loving temporary home for children transitioning into foster care!
Ms. Peggy
From Ms. Peggy: "Hello, My name is Peggy. My husband Harry and I became Christians the first year of our marriage in 1969. We have 3 children, 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. We were also House Parents in a Children's Home for 2 years. Harry passed away 16 years ago at the age of 62. I started a Widows Group at my Church, Elmwood Church of Christ. It gives us opportunities to share our feelings and have fun together. It has truly been a blessing to me."
The loss of a beloved spouse often makes it difficult for a widow to keep up with the needed repairs and improvements to her home. Ms. Peggy's deck is in disrepair and can't be used. We will be fixing that among other projects around her house. We are excited to bless a widow in our community in a big way!
A Different Kind of Fundraiser
A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help kids in foster care have a safe place to land while awaiting placement. Will you sponsor us?

No Administration Fees
We don’t take a penny out of the funds raised for adoption or orphan care projects for ourselves.
We are committed to doing everything we can to help our Both Hands families afford adoption. That’s why we don't take out any administrative fees from donations to our projects. If a donor chooses not to cover the credit card and processing fees, Both Hands will cover it to ensure 100% of the gift supports the cause.
We raise funds for our operations separately through support from donors like you. By supporting Both Hands, you help us serve more adoptive families, bless more widows, and bring even more children into their forever families.
