Cody & Ali Schnettgoecke

March 21, 2026 | Carrollton, IL

Hello! Our names are Cody and Ali. We currently have one son, Jack, who faces daily complex medical issues, but you would never know it based upon his constant cheesy grin, even though he decided to clam up for our recent family pictures. We are so grateful for him and the sanctification process the Lord has guided us through by simply being Jack’s parents. We have always loved the idea behind adoption and are so excited to finally be able to turn that into a reality for our family of three!

**The first $3,000 donated to this project will be matched!**

Domestic Adoption | United States

When the two of us met nearly ten years ago, we knew we were each other's person. The day we became united as husband and wife, we knew we wanted children right away. After becoming pregnant with our first son, we were elated, as everything was going just as we had planned! However, we could have never predicted that our future would consist of being special needs parents. While we face trials, we wouldn't trade our 'Jack-Jack' for the world. The amount of spiritual growth we have encountered is incredible. We have learned as a couple, that we should never doubt the trials God grants you. To have faith in him. To have faith in his timing! With that being said, we also realized that natural birth is no longer a safe option, leading us to the idea of adoption. We look forward to the day that Jack gets to gain a new sibling and best friend, while being able to give God all of the glory in the process!

Domestic adoption costs around $60,000, which primarily covers agency fees, birth mother care (support with daily living, counseling, etc) and legal fees.

Widow | Illinois

Meet our widow, Darielle. Ms. Darielle is a passionate, Godly woman who we have the privilege of calling a friend and sister in Christ. Darielle's husband, Ike, was called home to be with the Lord in the year of 2011. She doesn't tend to use the term 'passed away', but rather that Ike has 'graduated' to Heaven, as that is the destination us Christians all long for. Philippians 1:21 is a great reminder of that truth. We are honored to help Ms. Darielle by building her a new outdoor ramp, revamping her landscape, repairing the gutters and fascia, among many other tasks that she is not able to tackle on her own. We are excited to help preserve the beauty of Darielle's home, and to be a blessing to her as we do so.

A Different Kind of Fundraiser

A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help a child to become adopted into a forever family. Will you sponsor us?

No Administration Fees

We don’t take a penny out of the funds raised for adoption or orphan care projects for ourselves.

We are committed to doing everything we can to help our Both Hands families afford adoption. That’s why we don't take out any administrative fees from donations to our projects. If a donor chooses not to cover the credit card and processing fees, Both Hands will cover it to ensure 100% of the gift supports the cause.
