Loran & Elissa Wagener

February 7, 2026 | Placerville, CA

Adoption has always been part of our story. Elissa and her sisters were adopted from South Korea, and Loran’s family includes several touched by adoption. From our first date, we knew we wanted to adopt one day. After struggling with infertility, we’re especially thankful for our two boys, and we’re thrilled to welcome another little one into our lives and hearts!

**The first $3,000 donated to this project will be matched!**

Volunteering for project day? Be sure to sign your volunteer waiver here ahead of time so we can get straight to serving on the big day!

Domestic Adoption | United States

We completed our home study with Holt, the agency Elissa was adopted through, and waited 18 months with a Florida agency before adding a local one in December. Almost the same day, Holt unexpectedly shared one of their adoptees hoped to place her baby with another Holt family. Amazingly, she was local and working with the California agency we’d just added. We're grateful she's chosen our family to raise her baby girl, due in March. While gifts are appreciated, we'd especially love your prayers for the expectant mother, the baby, and our family.

Widow | California

Lola is a sweet, godly woman we’ve known for years, who has faithfully served countless others. A few years ago, her husband went home to be with the Lord, so in this season, we hope to bless her by organizing her garage and two sheds, building a fence, and doing light landscaping around her property.

A Different Kind of Fundraiser

A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help a child to become adopted into a forever family. Will you sponsor us?

No Administration Fees

We don’t take a penny out of the funds raised for adoption or orphan care projects for ourselves.

We are committed to doing everything we can to help our Both Hands families afford adoption. That’s why we don't take out any administrative fees from donations to our projects. If a donor chooses not to cover the credit card and processing fees, Both Hands will cover it to ensure 100% of the gift supports the cause.

We raise funds for our operations separately through support from donors like you. By supporting Both Hands, you help us serve more adoptive families, bless more widows, and bring even more children into their forever families.
