Brandon & Mikaela George

May 2, 2026 | Spring Hill, TN

Both Mikaela and I have been influenced throughout our lives by close relationships with adopted families. We have been blessed by having one biological son but feel called to continue to grow our family through the gift of adoption. There are many children out there who are in need of a loving home who without the gift of adoption may grow up in an unfortunate situation that we have the ability to adopt them into our family to show the love of Christ and teach them about Jesus.

**The first $3,000 donated to this project will be matched!**

Domestic Adoption | United States

From the beginning we have had a heart to adopt, and have always felt called to adoption. It’s such a beautiful representation of the gospel. After Mikaela having a traumatic birth and health challenges, it has led us to adopt now so we can continue to grow our family and raise up children in a biblical way. Our desire is to teach them about Jesus and to share the gospel and make disciples for His namesake.

Domestic adoption costs around $60,000, which primarily covers agency fees, birth mother care (support with daily living, counseling, etc) and legal fees.

Widow | Tennessee

“Hello, my name is Julissa. I was happily married for 31 years to my wonderful husband, Mark. Together we were blessed with four children—Markus, Kailyn, Kelsey, and Lindsey—who are now all young adults. We shared a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and many adventures. My husband was a lifelong fan of the San Francisco 49ers—he had been cheering for them since he was a little boy. Go Niners!

Mark began experiencing health issues in 2015, and over the years his illness gradually worsened. We did everything possible to help him get well—countless doctor appointments, hospital stays, rehabilitation, home health care, and physical therapy. Despite all of that, God chose to call him home. When Mark decided he wanted to come home from rehabilitation, he was able to spend his final days at home with our children and me. Those days were not easy, but we did everything we could to make him comfortable and surrounded with love.

At the same time, I had just been diagnosed with breast cancer and had begun chemotherapy treatments. But in those moments, all that mattered was my husband. One of Mark’s final wishes was for us to take a family trip to Arrington Vineyards, which had always been one of our favorite places to go together. So the Sunday before he passed, all six of us went. That day will forever remain a treasured memory in our hearts.

We miss him every single day—his voice, his laughter, his smile, and his words of wisdom. He always seemed to know exactly the right thing to say. Living life without him has not been easy, but we place our hope and confidence in God, knowing that one day we will see him again. Our hearts are broken, yet we are comforted by the peace of knowing that he is no longer suffering. He is in heaven and now has a glorified body. Now we take life one day at a time. Some days are harder than others, but we will never forget our beloved Mark—my husband and the father of my children. I am thankful for God’s unfailing love, and I am grateful for the comfort and healing He continues to provide.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” —Psalm 34:18”
