Vaughn Park Youth Ministry for AGAPE
The Vaughn Park Youth Ministry is a ministry of the Vaughn Park Church of Christ that seeks to bring glory to God in this world. We do this by speaking and living as Christ has called us to and Christ has called us to serve the less fortunate, especially children! We’re so excited to be planning this project to support AGAPE.
AGAPE of Central Alabama
AGAPE of Central Alabama is a Christian foster care and adoption agency that seeks to provide Christians with a way of carrying out the desire to mirror God’s heart for the vulnerable child. Our name comes from the original New Testament language word for “unconditional love”. We seek to show that Agape love in our ministry to vulnerable children and expectant parents.
Ms. Becky
Becky has been a member at Vaughn Park Church of Christ since 2001. She was married to Charles, who served as an elder for many years. He passed away in March 2020. She has two children: Katie and Alex (1983-2002). Katie is married to Nick, and they have three beautiful children: Alexa, Adam and Andrew. Alexa and Adam are active in the VPYM and Andrew will join them soon.
Becky stays very busy with her family life. She loves attending her grandchildren’s school functions and extracurricular activities. If the need arises, she willingly volunteers and finds great joy in serving others. Every week, she looks forward to helping Katie prepare activities/snacks for the children’s Sunday School and Wednesday night classes. She also enjoys being involved with the Ladies Bible Class, Happy Hearts and Zealous Zoe groups.
Becky’s hobbies include cooking, gardening, yard work, caring for her pets and maintaining her koi pond. She has always loved animals. Her family and friends know they can call on her to “babysit” their fur babies whenever asked.
Becky stated that she is deeply humbled and very grateful for being the recipient of this wonderful gift of service by the VPYM and Both Hands organization.
A Different Kind of Fundraiser
A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help children and families experiencing foster care or adoption. Will you sponsor us?

Your tax-deductible donation is to the 501(c)3 non-profit organization Both Hands Foundation (EIN 26-1879659). In following IRS guidelines, Both Hands’ governing board retains full discretion over the donation’s use, but intends to honor the donor’s suggestion. Both Hands does not charge an administrative fee and raises its operating support separately. Donors that supply their email will receive a tax receipt upon donation. Those who leave it blank will receive a mailed tax receipt at year end, if the donation is $250 or more.

We are committed to doing everything we can to help our Both Hands families afford adoption. That’s why we don't take out any administrative fees from donations to our projects. If a donor chooses not to cover the credit card and processing fees, Both Hands will cover it to ensure 100% of the gift supports the cause.
