Mike & Kay Brinkman

July 22, 2023 | Antioch, TN

We are the Brinkman Family. We were married in 2018. In 2019 we discovered a medical condition that could make it difficult to conceive children on our own and that is where we began prayerfully seeking out our options of ways to grow our family. Through prayer, our hearts were opened to the idea of adoption. We have discovered that our plans are not always our own, and that God was working on a plan  in our story to become parents long before our journey to adoption even started. We can’t wait to grow our family through adoption!

Domestic Adoption

Orphan | United States

Our adoption process has been nothing short of a miracle. We came into contact with a friend from Kay's church where she grew up and she is now an adoption consultant at The Joyful Adoption. We signed on to work with The Joyful Adoption in December of 2022. From there, we saw God's hands take this story and run. Every piece of this story fell into place relatively easily as if it were always meant to be. In late March we had finished our home study and by May our profile book was ready to hit the hands of expecting moms searching for adoptive families. We knew this process could take some time, so we prepared our hearts for waiting. However, God was still working and after sending our first profile book out we found out on Father's Day of 2023 we had matched with a baby boy who would be born in September. Our dreams of growing our family were no longer a dream but God's plan all along was falling into place.

Ms. Laura

Widow | Tennessee

Laura was married to her husband Robert for 27 years. He died unexpectedly 8 years ago. They have 1 daughter who is married and her daughter has two children of her own. Her daughter lives in the Memphis area. Laura has a wonderful community that helps her where they can being that her immediate family is not close by. She works at a local preschool as an infant teacher and because of her passion in early childhood not being the best of pay, she must live on a very tight budget. We are so excited to be able to help Ms. Laura with the needs around her home.

A Different Kind of Fundraiser

A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help an orphan to become adopted into a forever family. Will you sponsor us?
