The Lord gave us a heart for adoption early in our marriage. After our third child, we knew He was calling us to grow our family in this way. It’s His beautiful knitting together of a family, reflecting His abundant love. We trust His plan and look forward to welcoming the child He has chosen for us. “We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him…” – Romans 8:28

We are adopting from Burundi, Africa. This journey has had ups and downs, including switching agencies when one closed, yet God has used every step to teach us and affirm His calling for our family. He has shown up time and time again, and we know He will continue to provide. We pray for our future child daily, trusting that His story for our family will be a testimony of His love and faithfulness.

“I was married to my husband (Pete) for 47 ½ years. I have been a widow for 11 years. I have two children, Mike and Darlene, and her husband Jerry. I have two grandsons, Tyler and Ryan, and a granddaughter, Danielle, along with my grandson-in-law, Terry. I also have five great grandsons.”

Your tax-deductible donation is to the 501(c)3 non-profit organization Both Hands Foundation (EIN 26-1879659). In following IRS guidelines, Both Hands’ governing board retains full discretion over the donation’s use, but intends to honor the donor’s suggestion. Both Hands does not charge an administrative fee and raises its operating support separately. Donors that supply their email will receive a tax receipt upon donation. Those who leave it blank will receive a mailed tax receipt at year end, if the donation is $250 or more.
