Wil & Katie Hester

October 12, 2024 | Charlotte, NC
We are adopting a little girl with special needs. Due to her medical needs, we are raising money to help pay for specialist visits, medical procedures and possible surgeries, and travel to see the specialist. We will also have to pay, possibly out of pocket, for medical devices for her and will also use the money to offset these costs. We are grateful to God that He has already supplied and are thankful to partner with people to support our daughter even after we bring her home so she can have the best possible care.

Widow | North Carolina

Irma Jean “Jeanie” recently lost her husband this year, just short of their 60th wedding anniversary which would have been this August 13th. They married young; Jeanie was only 16 years old and Tony was 17. She was dependent on Tony throughout their lives together. They had two daughters, but lost one at birth. While her husband worked to provide for the family, Jeanie stayed home, taking care of their daughter and the housework.

As the years went by, and Tony’s health declined, Jeanie became the caregiver. In the latter days of his life Tony was confined to a power wheelchair due to the loss of his leg. Their home, not designed for wheelchair accessibility needs repairs due to damage to the walls and doorframes. As Jeanie’s health has also declined, she’s unable to take care of home maintenance and repairs.

Jeanie loves her little dog Kobe, who has been a great companion pet. With limitations physically and visually, she still enjoys working puzzles and decorating. She believes and trusts that the Lord will continue to take care of her.

We met Ms. Jeanie because her daughter works with Wil. We were grateful that God brought her into our lives and look forward to helping her at her home.

A Different Kind of Fundraiser

A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help a child receive the care they need. Will you sponsor us?

No Administration Fees

We don’t take a penny out of the funds raised for adoption or orphan care projects for ourselves.

We are committed to doing everything we can to help our Both Hands families afford adoption. That’s why we don't take out any administrative fees from donations to our projects. If a donor chooses not to cover the credit card and processing fees, Both Hands will cover it to ensure 100% of the gift supports the cause.

We raise funds for our operations separately through support from donors like you. By supporting Both Hands, you help us serve more adoptive families, bless more widows, and bring even more children into their forever families.
