Steven & Sarah Johnson

October 19, 2024 | Onalaska, WA

As members of the family of God that have been adopted by a heavenly Father, Steven & Sarah Johnson believe there ought to be a literal expression of the adoption they have in Christ’s family – here present on this earth. As their son so perfectly stated, “There are a lot of kids in the world that will never have a family. They need homes and families to love them. You guys can adopt, too!” They want to thank all that can help make this a reality. Sarah first saw this little one on Reece’s Rainbow and her heart burst with longing and joy. It was not long before the Johnson family, along with their six children in the home, were actively pursuing the adoption on this precious special girl. They were adopting because the Lord has opened their eyes and stirred their hearts to the needs of others, especially those without a family. God has blessed them to see family as the greatest gift and they are compelled and excited to share this gift with others, especially this little one called April.

April

Orphan | Lithuania

She is called April because she was abandoned in a life box at no more than a week old during the month of April. The Johnsons understand the high need for families to seek out children with special needs and their hearts are particularly drawn to Down syndrome. They have submitted their dossier and have been officially matched! After the loss of two still born babies, the Good Lord moved their hearts to see and recognize the many children in the world that do not have the blessing of belonging to and being loved by a family. Out of grief and heartache the Lord has brought beauty and hope. Everyone in their home is incredibly excited to welcome another member to the family, and to share life, love, and adventure with a beautiful little girl who deserves a family of her own.

Nikki

Widow | Washington

Nikki has lived in Lewis County a very long time and has served in our church, previously with her husband before he passed. He passed away in Nov. 2021. Nikki planted a memorial rose garden in honor of her husband and father that needs to be protected from hungry deer. She loves to garden and make jewelry and always has a smile on her face. She is a lovely and kind lady. Her large property in the country is in need of quite a few labor projects including but not limited to: cleaning out a barn, replacing broken windows and adding screens to windows, deck finished, lots of weeding and landscaping, wood and debris moved as well as a lean-to roof needs to be patched or replaced.

A Different Kind of Fundraiser

A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help an orphan to become adopted into a forever family. Will you sponsor us?
