Chuck & Elizabeth Jones
Chuck and I have been married for 3.5 years. We met in 2020 on New Year’s Day – we thought the year was starting off great after we met one another. We grew very close during the pandemic and knew that God brought us together in His perfect timing. From the very first date, I (Elizabeth) discussed my desire to adopt and that God put that desire in my heart when I was a child. Adoption has also been a big part of my family’s life as my mom and her 4 siblings were adopted together by my grandparents in the late 1950s. Chuck was open to learning about adoption and the impact it has had on my family and asked about my openness of being a bonus mom to his two beautiful children. From the moment I met Noah and Madeline, they had my heart and they continue to teach me and help me become a better person and bonus mom. Once we were engaged, I kept telling friends that we would add 2 to 4 children to our family either through adoption or giving birth if I was able. After we married, we continued discussing our plans for adding to our family and Madeline began asking for a baby sister. Six months after we married, I had emergency surgery and learned that I would be unable to carry a child. We took our time to process our grief but continued talking about adoption as we felt it was always part of the plan God had for us in expanding our family.

Charlotte & Hunter
In December 2024, we decided that we wanted to prepare for the adoption process and complete our home study by July 2025. By the end of January 2025, we learned that God had other plans. We were told about a young woman pregnant with twins due at the end of April. We immediately said yes we are interested in learning more about this opportunity. We had been praying for the opportunity to adopt twins for a few months. We had a conversation one night with this young woman and we all felt connected to one another. We maintained contact and all began working with a wonderful agency to help coordinate the adoption plan. On March 22, 2025, our sweet babies, Charlotte Rae and Hunter Rushing, came into this world and we have been in love from the moment we saw them. We were able to meet them at the hospital and meet their birth mother the night of the birth. We spent time getting to know her and spending time all together. The day after the birth, the hospital was amazing and provided us with a room to care for Charlotte and Hunter while their birth mother was able to rest. We visited with their birth mother throughout our time at the hospital up until it was time to discharge to go home. We continue to maintain contact with their birth mother and sharing updates as well as photos with her. She has become a part of our family and we love her very much and thank her often for trusting and choosing us to be Charlotte and Hunter’s parents. We will able to finalize our adoption 6 months after their birth, which would be around the end of September or first October.
Waiting Widow
The loss of a beloved spouse often makes it difficult for a widow to keep up with the needed repairs and improvements to her home. We are excited to bless a widow in our community in a big way!
A Different Kind of Fundraiser
A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help a child to become adopted into a forever family. Will you sponsor us?
