Clay & Lauren Kirkland
Clay and Lauren Kirkland met at Samford University and were married in 2003. They always desired to adopt, but thought that they would have biological children first. After Clay was diagnosed with testicular cancer and they battled infertility, the Lord made it very clear that His plan for their family was adoption all along! Their sons were adopted domestically through Lifeline Children’s Services, and are now nine and six years old. Adoption has shaped their family and their hearts in ways they never thought possible!
A Waiting Child
God moved in Clay and Lauren’s hearts to start the domestic adoption process with Lifeline for a third child, and they are now in the process of fundraising and waiting to be paired with a birth mother. They hope to adopt a baby from the state of Alabama.
Ms. Thea
Meet Ms. Thea. She attends the same church as the Kirklands. Two years ago, she lost her husband after a brief battle with cancer. She has four children and enjoys mentoring children through the use of her art and therapy degrees. She has some home projects that she needs assistance with, since she moved and downsized last year.
A Different Kind of Fundraiser
A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help an orphan to become adopted into a forever family. Will you sponsor us?

In following IRS guidelines, Both Hands’ governing board retains full discretion over the donation’s use, but intends to honor the donor’s suggestion. Both Hands does not charge an administrative fee and raises its operating support separately. Donors that supply their email will receive a tax receipt upon donation. Those who leave it blank will receive a mailed tax receipt at year end, if the donation is $250 or more.
No Administration Fees
We don’t take a penny out of the funds raised for adoption or orphan care projects for ourselves.
We are committed to doing everything we can to help our Both Hands families afford adoption. That’s why we don't take out any administrative fees from donations to our projects. If a donor chooses not to cover the credit card and processing fees, Both Hands will cover it to ensure 100% of the gift supports the cause.
We raise funds for our operations separately through support from donors like you. By supporting Both Hands, you help us serve more adoptive families, bless more widows, and bring even more children into their forever families.
