Kaleb & KJ McMillan
Our story began in the fall of 2018 when we met through a campus Bible study and student leadership group. Over the years, our friendship grew through shared faith, community, and mutual friends. After some time and a pandemic in between, we reconnected in 2021 and quickly discovered a deep connection. We started dating later that summer, grounded in a shared desire to build a life centered on faith, love, and purpose. Kaleb proposed in 2022, and we were married in 2023. Adoption has been on both of our hearts long before we met each other and was something we each hoped would be part of our future. For us, adoption is not a second choice, but our first. We believe deeply in the beauty of building a family through love, connection, and intention—not biology alone.
The first $3,000 donated to this project will be matched!!

Baby McMillan
Our family’s mission statement is this: To reflect Christ and abide in His love by serving, sacrificing and pursuing each other and those around us. Rooted in that mission, we are pursuing a domestic infant adoption and are currently waiting to be placed with our child(ren). We eagerly anticipate the gift of welcoming a child and walking alongside their birth family with compassion and care. This season has been one of hope and trust, and we feel deeply blessed by the opportunity to grow our family through adoption.
Ms. Karen
Karen is a recently retired single woman who loves animals, her family and her friends. Since Mike passed away many years ago, she has fostered several teenage foster daughters and is still very close with several of "her girls". She currently has five "foster" grandchildren. Karen is a devoted mom of two dogs, mutts that were adopted from the local Humane Society. She would love to adopt more if space would allow. She is the proud owner of a 3-bedroom house that is in need of a few repairs and appreciates the work that this agency is doing to help.
A Different Kind of Fundraiser
A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help a child to become adopted into a forever family. Will you sponsor us?

No Administration Fees
We don’t take a penny out of the funds raised for adoption or orphan care projects for ourselves.
We are committed to doing everything we can to help our Both Hands families afford adoption. That’s why we don't take out any administrative fees from donations to our projects. If a donor chooses not to cover the credit card and processing fees, Both Hands will cover it to ensure 100% of the gift supports the cause.
We raise funds for our operations separately through support from donors like you. By supporting Both Hands, you help us serve more adoptive families, bless more widows, and bring even more children into their forever families.
