Brenton & Heather Moore
We are Brenton and Heather Moore! We met the first day of college and started dating at 18 years old. We have now known each other half our lives and have been married for 12 years! Brenton is a home inspector and Heather is a nurse anesthetist, and we make a great team.
Adoption has always been our “Plan A” for building a family. From the beginning of our relationship we have both felt called by the Lord into parenthood through adoption. Several of Brenton’s siblings joined his family through foster care, and Heather has examples of “family by choice” in her life as well.
We believe family is not just defined by biology. We have seen what a beautiful reflection of the gospel adoption can be, because we are all adopted into God’s family.

Baby Moore
After three years of waiting for a domestic infant adoption, we were thrilled to be matched with a birth mother on the East Coast in December 2024. We rushed to that state for the delivery of a baby girl and were required to sign with a different adoption agency there to finalize the process. We spent 6 days loving on that sweet baby before the birth mother decided to parent. We were devastated, and left with a significant amount of nonrefundable fees and travel expenses.
Six weeks later we received a call that we were selected by a birth family in the Midwest, and the baby boy had just been born. We drove through the night in an ice storm to get to the hospital, but half an hour before we arrived we were told the family had decided to parent. The severe winter storm left us stranded in Oklahoma for an additional day.
While we rejoice when families can stay together, we struggled to walk our adoption path in obedience, wondering what the Lord had in store for us. Just three days later we got the call for our daughter…God is faithful! We have been blessed to be matched with a baby girl in Texas, and we hope to finalize her adoption this fall.
Ms. Margey
Ms. Margey and her husband, Jim, were married for 63 years before he passed away in 2022. Their life together was focused on ministry and family. Jim was a pastor throughout Texas, and they were missionaries to Latin America for ten years! Margey was a teacher for 24 years, primarily teaching first graders how to read. They have 4 children, 10 grandkids, and 16 great grandchildren. After Jim’s passing, Margey has continued to invest in church ministries, teaching a women’s Bible study, hosting support groups, and even inviting a group of 20 college students to meet and fellowship in her home. Margey shows the love of Jesus through her gift of hospitality; a home-cooked meal and a loaf of her famous “Margey bread” make countless people around her feel loved. She focuses so much on serving others, it is a privilege to get to bless her with improvements around her property.
Brenton and Heather met Jim and Margey in the Young Adult Sunday School class at their church, and Mr. Jim insisted that being in their 80s was still “young adult!” Margey has continued to mentor Heather in a discipleship group over the past year. She is aware of the ups and downs of their adoption journey and has been a prayer warrior and encourager throughout the process.
