Hi! We’re John and Alex, and we just celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary!
Our faith in God, along with the love and support of our family and friends, are the foundation of our lives. Our journey through infertility has deepened our relationship and strengthened our faith, and we are filled with hope and excitement as we look forward to welcoming a child into our hearts and home.

Baby Shearer
We are pursuing domestic adoption. Our home study is now complete, and the total cost is expected to be around $60,000. We are trusting that if this is what God desires for our family, He will provide. Thank you so much for all the prayers, support, and encouragement as we pray for our future child.
Ms. Angela
Ms. Angela is a retired educator of 25 years. She taught third grade in Madison City Schools and coached dance at Bob Jones then at James Clemens. She loves children and has a heart for service, whether that be through coaching, tutoring, helping at church or showing love to all the children around her. She and her late husband Greg had a marriage made in heaven. They were best friends and did everything together. Greg served in the US Air Force before going to college then spent his career working at Boeing working in the space industry. He was a flight instructor in retirement and an all around super handyman. Greg also had a heart for service and used his skills to help widows before he met Angela. We are honored to help Ms. Angela by deep cleaning her garage, making some dump runs, and fixing various small items around her house.
A Different Kind of Fundraiser
A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help a child to become adopted into a forever family. Will you sponsor us?

Your tax-deductible donation is to the 501(c)3 non-profit organization Both Hands Foundation (EIN 26-1879659). In following IRS guidelines, Both Hands’ governing board retains full discretion over the donation’s use, but intends to honor the donor’s suggestion. Both Hands does not charge an administrative fee and raises its operating support separately. Donors that supply their email will receive a tax receipt upon donation. Those who leave it blank will receive a mailed tax receipt at year end, if the donation is $250 or more.

We are committed to doing everything we can to help our Both Hands families afford adoption. That’s why we don't take out any administrative fees from donations to our projects. If a donor chooses not to cover the credit card and processing fees, Both Hands will cover it to ensure 100% of the gift supports the cause.
