Hi, we’re the Smith family! We’ve always had a desire to adopt, but weren’t sure when or how we would pursue it. We’ve spent the last 2.5 years trying to grow our family, but have been met with three miscarriages and infertility. Amidst all the uncertainty and sorrow, the Lord laid it on our hearts to pursue adoption as the means to grow our family. We’ve experienced first hand His love for us through our own adoption into His Kingdom and we desire to follow His example.

Baby Smith
We started pursuing domestic infant adoption through North & South Carolina in August 2023. We have completed all requirements and are eagerly awaiting placement. We both grew up hearing that "it takes a village to raise a child", so we decided to fundraise the costs of our adoption. By inviting others into this process, they are becoming a part of the "village" we desire to build around our child as he/she grows up.
Ms. Candi
Ms. Candi lost her husband, James, in 2012 to cancer. They were married for 42 years before he lost his battle. They experienced many ups and downs, but loved each other so much. Ms. Candi still resides in the home they purchased when they first moved to North Carolina in the 1970's. She has a strong love of the Lord and is excited to join us in our adoption journey. We are honored to serve her on their wedding anniversary: June 22nd.
A Different Kind of Fundraiser
A team of volunteers is completing a service project of fixing up a widow's home. We are raising sponsorship for our day of service. The funds raised will help a child to become adopted into a forever family. Will you sponsor us?

Your tax-deductible donation is to the 501(c)3 non-profit organization Both Hands Foundation (EIN 26-1879659). In following IRS guidelines, Both Hands’ governing board retains full discretion over the donation’s use, but intends to honor the donor’s suggestion. Both Hands does not charge an administrative fee and raises its operating support separately. Donors that supply their email will receive a tax receipt upon donation. Those who leave it blank will receive a mailed tax receipt at year end, if the donation is $250 or more.

We are committed to doing everything we can to help our Both Hands families afford adoption. That’s why we don't take out any administrative fees from donations to our projects. If a donor chooses not to cover the credit card and processing fees, Both Hands will cover it to ensure 100% of the gift supports the cause.
